This is a guitar lesson to show you have you can play the funky song “Uptown Funk” on acoustic guitar. There many ways to play a song and this is a version in which you can as a soloist singer guitar player or part of a group play this song acoustically but still retain the funky essence and feel of the song. So let’s learn how to play Uptown Funk on guitar….
This song reminds me of the wicked band Earth Wind And Fire and some of Michael Jackson’s music with all the old school funky guitar lines. This songs is based primarily around two chords, D minor and G but from here we can take it further for example…Experimenting with higher extensions of the chord such as in the case D minor, into D minor 7th and D minor 9th.
In this version I’ll focusing on D minor 9th and G 7th and at the end of the video I’ll show you the other bits you can chuck it if you so wish.
