I teach guitar according to the goals of the student. If they want an ala-carte approach to just be able to play some tunes with chords or if they want to learn to read and aspire to greater involvement I can help plan the way to achieve those goals.

Whether it’s rock, funk, jazz, blues, country, alternative, or folk played on an electric or acoustic guitar I have the methods to help become the guitar player you wish to be. My approach is to first of all find out what you want to learn and then prepare lessons that are tailored to help you learn the skills to play your choice of style. If you just want to play the cords to your favorite songs, learn to play like your favorite rock guitarist or advanced techniques such as learning how to read music and understand music theory, I can help you get there. I have had students where I’ve desconstructed rock tunes to show them how they are played. I’ve taught aspiring jazz guitarists understand the complexities of jazz theory and how it pertains to the guitar.
