Thursday Evenings on the Lake: Reservations are required due to limited space and the need for boat transportation to St. William’s. Public barge leaves the village dock at 5:50 p.m. and returns at 8:30 p.m. In the event of severe weather, programs will be held at the Raquette Lake School on Rt. 28. Plan to come rain or shine!
May 21 9 a.m. Volunteer Work Day Location: SWLP
Join us as we shake the dust off the covers and get the facility ready for a new season. Our focus will be in on interior spaces. If you have a particular talent or project you would like to work on, let us know. A boat will be at the town dock at 9 a.m. if you need a ride.
June 4 9 a.m. Volunteer Work Day Location: SWLP
Help us get our beautiful buildings and grounds groomed. While the focus will be on outdoor clean-up, other jobs will be available. A boat will be at the town dock at 9 a.m. if you need a ride.
July 7 7 p.m. The Baby Boomers Band** Location: SWLP
A CNY seven – member band that primarily play favorites from the 60’s & 70’s. The group’s instrumentation consists of two guitars, electric keyboard, bass guitar and drums. Aside from the two male voices of the guitarists, there are two female vocalists that allow the group to perform four-part harmonies, which is the signature sound of many of the music selections in the band’s song list. Harmonica is added to the mix of instruments by one of the female vocalist.

July 14 7 p.m. Ann Barnes, Piano Woman** Location: SWLP
Ann Barnes has been playing piano professionally in the Syracuse area since 1972. She is a classically trained pianist and started playing at the age of five. She plays a wide variety of music from ragtime to jazz, New Age, Show Tunes, standards, 40’s and up, movie and TV themes, easy listening and sing-a-longs. She entertains at private parties, weddings, community events, and concerts, and also enjoys accompanying vocalists, singers and instrumentalists. Ann says, “There is nothing like live entertainment. It is so much more up close and personal.” Ann takes requests, and enjoys engaging the audience in a game of “Name That Tune.” The audience loves the challenge! Plan on having a fun time!
July 21 7 p.m. Annie & the Hedonists** Location: SWLP
Annie & the Hedonists is a band that knows no musical boundaries. This eclectic group from the Albany area offers something for everyone. Anchored by the incomparable voice of band namesake Annie Rosen, this diverse ensemble gives audiences everything from jazz, swing, torchy blues, standards, bluegrass, gospel, and folk, with a sampling of honky tonk country thrown in for good measure. Great entertainment! The group features: Annie Rosen on lead vocals; Jonny Rosen on guitar and vocals; Peter Davis on clarinet, tenor guitar, piano, and vocals; and Don Young on bass and vocals.

July 28 7 p.m. Diamond Someday** Location: SWLP
From the Syracuse area, Diamond Someday is an experienced group of musicians that specializes in close three-part vocal harmony backed by solid instruments. The group brings a spirited approach to a blend of traditional, original, and gospel music. Led by the popular and sought-after vocalist/guitar player Shirley Stevens, Diamond Someday has been entertaining around New York State and beyond for over 10 years. Karen Campolieto plays the stand-up bass and has lent her sweet voice and charm to the band for most of those years. Mandolinist/singer Ed VanCott, irrepressible as always, has been picking and grinning and making each show a happy experience that bears repeating. Dick Deneve, resonator guitar impresario and well known lutherier, has played with the group for many years, and specializes in making his instrument both sing and cry, sometimes in the same song! The newest member of Diamond Someday is Sean King, playing the banjo. Sean is a high school student, and hasn’t beenplaying the banjo for very long, but he is already extremely impressive as he picks those five strings.
July 31 1 p.m. Chicken BBQ and Silent Auction Location: SWLP
After a refreshing boat ride, join us for a finger-licking, lip-smacking good meal! For $12 per person you can enjoy BBQ chicken, salads, salt potatoes, beans, drink, and a dessert of your choice! You cannot beat the price, selection or the spectacular setting.
Boats will be running from the town dock beginning at 12:30 p.m. If you have a child age 12 and under please provide your own life jacket for them. No reservations are needed.

August 4 7 p.m. Max and Ruth Bloomquist** Location: SWLP
Ruth and Max Bloomquist have been making music together since they met in 1975 and discovered their shared love not only for each other, but for music and songs made with acoustic instruments and featuring lyrics from the heart. Ruth and Max immersed themselves in folk, bluegrass, country, singer songwriters, and other acoustic music to create a sound and style all their own.

August 6 2 p.m. Wide Variety Location: Raquette Lake School
Wide Variety – Jersey’s Premier A Capella Group – A group of seven singers who entertain “A Capella” style (Pure vocals, no instruments). The group has designed their repertoire to give you the “widest variety” and the richest harmonies: an entertainment experience that will appeal to music lovers of all ages!
The performance will be held at the Raquette Lake School on Route 28. Reservations are not required for this performance. Free admission, donations appreciated.

August 11 7 p.m. The Buskers** Location: Raquette Lake School
Folk impurists with a smart, distinct voice and great chops. A kitchen sink repertoire of styles from jug band and jazz to roots rock, with serious musicianship, a sense of humor, and energy to burn.” Refreshingly original songwriters and seasoned, engaging performers, The Buskers have been entertaining audiences across New England since 1993. The group now happily includes the Adirondacks and West in their touring range. The trio deftly and joyfully weaves violin, mandolin, guitar, accordion, bass, keyboard, banjo, harmonica and tambourine into their music, somehow fitting all their instruments comfortably onstage in even the smallest venue.

August 12 5 p.m. Cocktail Party and Vintage Auction Location: Sammon’s
Enjoy an evening of cocktails and finger foods lakeside. John and Deanna Sammon will graciously host this event at their home on Raquette Lake.

All proceeds benefit the continued restoration of the structures at St. Williams on Long Point.

August 18 7 p.m. Rustic Riders** Location: Raquette Lake School
The Rustic Riders, a Saranac Lake-based acoustic group, play new music with traditional roots. Lisa Meissner is featured on vocals and guitar, but may also surprise you with traditional tunes on the cello, mandolin and bouzouki. Klaus Meissner plays percussion, lends his ear to the overall sound mix and enjoys building and restoring acoustic instruments – including Lisa’s guitars. Lisa’s songs sometimes invite you to sing and dance; sometimes to pause, reflect and renew. Their music is influenced by their love of folk, traditional Celtic, Appalachian and Quebecois tunes, as well as Latin Jazz, Blues and Rock and Roll.
The Rustic Riders have been playing together in various combinations since 1996. Since the fall of 2006 they are playing mostly original material written by Lisa Meissner. It has been getting airplay across the US and Canada.

August 25 7 p.m. Dan Berggren and Andy Flynn** Location: Raquette Lake School
The “Adirondack Attic Musical History Tour” vibrantly brings history to life. Author, editor, publisher, and host of North Country Public Radio’s Adirondack Attic, Andy Flynn, joins Adirondack folk singer Dan Berggren for a special presentation that mixes folk songs with stories and images from the archives of the Adirondack Museum.
The program has something for everyone, whether you are a lifelong Adirondacker or a visitor from outside the area interested in the history and time honored traditions that make up the Adirondack story.
October 8 6:30 p.m. Moss Back Mule Location: Raquette Lake School
Moss Back Mule Band, enriched by diverse musical influences and great group chemistry, continues to play as the ensemble that formed in the early 1970’s. Although there have been a number of noteworthy lineups, the current quintet is driven by the enthusiasm of four founding musicians.
Original members Steve Quenneville, Bob Fleming, Hal Kent and Dave Liddy are joined by drummer Dave Pallas to unite a group that continues to enjoy widespread popularity while playing Western Swing, Classic Country, Boogie and Blues as they have for more than four decades.
Since their inception, Moss Back has traveled and played in concert with many national acts and the band’s appeal is in large part due to their ability to interact freely with their many Central New York friends and fans to create a memorable event for all who attend. Doors open at 6 p.m., we’ll see you there.
