Musical background: Started with bass when I was 15, switched to guitar at the age of 17.

How did I end up in Vorna: I’m one of the founding members with Vesa and Arttu.

Best Vorna related memory: The weekend long cabin trips involving the members of Vorna and other close friends. These trips have always played a large part in making us more and more close-knit over the years.

Musical background: As a kid I took piano lesson for a few years (forced by my parents) and I was always interested in music. I picked up the bass at the age of 16.

How did I end up in Vorna: I had a few keyboard cover videos on my YouTube channel that caught the attention of these guys in 2009. Arttu then sent me a private message asking if I was interested in joining the band, and I was.

Musical Background: I started my musical career at the ripe young age of 6 with an accordion. After a couple of years of that I switched to the piano, which I played for a few years before I got my hands on a guitar and a drumset. At 11 I started playing both of them but soon enough the drums became my main obsession. I still enjoy playing guitar almost daily though.

How did I end up in Vorna: My old bandmember came to me in the spring of 2009 and told me his friends big brother’s black metal band needed a drummer and I thought, why the hell not. After a phone call and a practise session I was in the band. I can’t even imagine what my life would’ve been if I had said no. One of the best decisions of my life.

Musical influences: Listening to drum gods like Gene Hoglan and Sean Reinert and other Death drummers has had a big influence on my playing. As a composer people like Devin Townsend, Jon Nödtveidt and Tuomas Holopainen have probably been the biggest influence.

The best things about Finnish nature: The weather changes throughout the year, the ability to just go and hike in the woods basically anywhere and of course, all the lakes.

Other hobbies/interests: Disc Golf, jogging and video games.

Favourite drinks: On stage, litres of water and beer. On my free time, milk, quality beers and black coffee.
