The band features veteran DC area musicians Jeremy “Buck” Stone Schuhmann, Eric Glaser, Elizabeth Melvin and Tom McLaughlin. The vocals are tight, the strings are swinging and the atmosphere is hot when the Late Boomers come out to play. The Alpha Dog Acoustic Blues Band features top notch musicians Roger Hart, Tom Muck, Jeff Clair and Nancy Lisi. With a solid repertoire of an old school mix – country and Chicago style blues, along with a few originals thrown in the mix – The Alpha Dog Acoustic Blues Band will have you smiling and tapping your feet.” There will be free coffee, and other drinks and snacks will be available. Visit Barbara Martin – ablues, jazz and folk singer Saturday, March 12 at 2:00 PM at the Rockville Memorial Library Free!! Barbara Martin sings, plays guitar, and who also writes her own songs. Her music will appeal to adults (who will love her lyrics) and to children who will enjoy the music. Although this show is truly a program for all ages, the lyrics are geared toward adults. “Barbara Martin is multi-talented; a true renaissance woman in music genres prone to stereotypes and pigeon-holes. She’s as comfortable in a New York cabaret show as she is in an intimate house concert or a bohemian cafe. Barbara’s ability to transition smoothly from chanteuse to girl-next-door to perceptive poet make her delightfully her own woman.”
