By , August 28, 2012 12:00 am We all already know The Veronicas are a pair of wildly talented twins with cute faces to boot. But let’s just take a look at their recent offering that just emphasises the whole statement. Amidst their non-stop promotions for their comeback single Lolita, the Origliasso sisters took some time off their schedules to sit down and film an acoustic version of the pop-loaded track. Dressed in an everyday-girl outfit; baggy shirts and leggings (which kinda makes their skinny legs look like a spider’s but shh let’s not tell them that), the girls still managed to look the superstars they are. With their good friend Michael Paynter (who’s also a pretty decent musician. You can check him out on his ) in tow and an acoustic guitar, they delivered the acoustic performance flawlessly. I know, a lot of you might be thinking “Lolita is so electronic, how on Earth can you play it acoustic and sound good?” I had the same mindset as well, I mean, how many times have wewatched popstars trying to play their songs stripped down, and failing terribly in the end? God bless Nicki Minaj if she ever tries to sing any of her songs in an acoustic setting. I’ve mentioned before that Lolita does The Veronicas’ vocals justice as the autotune and electro sounds don’t drown the voices out, but this version showcases the vocal prowess of the pair. Such brilliant harmonisation, and the clarity of their voices is amazing. Let’s not forget they had no mics or anything, so it was all natural. And of course, we can’t NOT mention the fact that they slipped into Bieber mode for a bit, when they jumped into As Long As You Love Me halfway through. I like Bieber, I do, and I like his acoustic shows as well, but this one just takes the cake. Maybe it’s the magic of harmonising, who knows? Check out the video here!
