But after a few years he began to miss the families and kids that enjoyed the impromptu open-air concerts. So Jeremy started singing for his daughter and her friends on the front porch, and made appearances in classrooms in New Orleans. Now living in Massachusetts, Jeremy packs the house at sing-alongs in toy stores and libraries. At the Children’s Museums of Boston and Louisiana Lyons has performed and led workshops. Jeremy also plays preschools, grade schools, libraries, farmers markets,festivals and birthday parties. At a summer day camp, he led an 80-piece kazoo band. “Jeremy visited our library to present and play New Orleans jazz for our students. He told stories and played several tunes on banjo and National. It was very well received with enthusiastic audience participation. He sings songs that have been around a long time.
