WHEN YOUR MIND GOES CRASH BANG WOOSH
Orchestral comical entertainment music. Pretty silly groove played by a weird combo of contra bass, tuba, clarinet, flute, mallets & reed organ.
PEGHEAD IS BACK
Action-packed scifi-rock. Theme for an imaginary TV-show with dirt bikes, smoke and blasters. Powerful drums, bass, electric guitar, grand piano & some synths, bien sûr.
CROSSWIND THINKER
Dreamy pop-orchestral piece. Strings, piano, some brass & woodwinds. Always so lovely english horn leads the way. Glockenspiel hops here and there.
MONTAGE OF DAILY ROUTINES
Pretty pop/rock/orchestral piece to accompany things. Solid beat & some toppings brought to you by piano, strings, bass and drums as well as some brass and woodwinds. Oh yeah, and a bit of female vocals.
OMAHA BREWHAHA
Solo piano piece for a silent film, perhaps a saloon brawl scene. Bang bang.
ABANDONED
Solo piano playing a slow and menacing song. Record cracks and general distortion build up a vintage, almost historical feel. Dark, twisted and overall horrible stuff.
IN DREAMS THEY DANCE
Fairytalish & dreamlike are the first two words coming to me when describing this one. Fragile flute melody with two acoustic guitars, playing only harmonics. Also mellotron and a glimpse of strings.
URSULA’S CALL
Angelic voices echoing everywhere. Extremely simplistic melody. Lead singer, choir and spacechoir doing nothing but uuhs.
bone
Orchestral background music, like in movie trailers. Loads of orchestral instruments choir, some percussions & tubular bells. This is very much of a one trick pony, ever repeating chord structure with only subtle alterations.
SLOSH WALTZ
Town drunks voyage home. Silent film-like, a bit weird waltz. Piano, mallets, english horn, cello, bass & percussions. Introducing bassoon as the protagonist.
PRAIRIE IS CALM
Peaceful little piano piece, strings join in later. Although originally not intended, to me this sounds very American. In a great plains sort of way. I added a lot of reverb to emphasize this image.
70s THRILLS
Soundtrack for an action scene or a chase, composed in the spirit of 1970s. Rhythm section brass, vibraphone, clavinet and mellotron. The working title of this tune was ”Hackman vs. McQueen”.
OLD BROKEN MUSIC BOX
Only music box sounds here. I intentionally added some ”wrong notes” here and there, mostly heard near the end. It makes the simple and otherwise cute song sound a bit creepy.
THE ROAD GATTUSO
Cinematic rock piece. Rhythm section strings, synthesizer and choir. I’ve been calling this one a ”trashy Morricone”. It has very italian feel but more straightforward than usually in spagetti westerns. Perhaps ”Morricone meets Argento”?
BATTLE OF KUSTAVI
Soundtrack of a battle scene. A very percussive piece that features strings and brass as well as the relevant distorted guitars and orchestral hits.
