5. Metallica – Orion

Metallica has some awesome bass lines especially on Master of Puppets.

The rhythm section on Orion is very loud and is a good song to practice bass.

 

 

4. Led Zeppelin – Dazed and Confused

John Paul Jones might not be the most known member of Led Zeppelin but his contribution towards the songwriting was extremely important.

That is particularly true on Dazed and Confused (arrangement of a Jake Holmes song).

3. Michael Jackson - Billie Jean

You can’t do a “top bass” blog post without mentioning the King of Pop. For the record, the bass was played by Louis Johnson who also collaborated with Aretha Franklin, Bill Withers, Herbie Hancock,  Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney.
