Whether writing from the viewpoint of a tree that wants to be a table, telling tales of heartbreak and introspection, or just singin’ a song about her friends, Candice brings a singular energy and talent to the genre. Greg Mendez is a NYC by way of Philly by way of New Jersey singer / songwriter whose songs inhabit the gritty yet pretty underbelly of folk music. Deeply personal stories wrought with a guitar and a soulful, smoke soaked baritone will leave you feeling like you were there. Meri Haines is new to the game. This will be her third show. I’ve known her for six years and never had any idea she could sing the wayshe does. Having traded her dancing shoes for a guitar in an attempt to exorcise pent up emotions, she’ll melt yer heart while strengthening hers. Jimmy Dobrowolski came up to me a few weeks ago and said can I play at the Green Line? I said sure! His new band is Loose Tooth but I have no idea if he’ll be playing these songs or not…
